The ornaments are vintage mini mechanical pencils, about 2 inches long on average. Most of them are “golf pencils” that could be used for marking golf scores, and many have little tassels attached.

This is, in a word, awesome. Love it, and love the pencils. I like the celluloid and other materials used in a lot of these, but never buy them because I’d want to use a mechanical pencil and these are too short for comfort. But this just blows that concern right out of the water.
